Yoga for Pelvic Floor Health This is an all-levels workshop that focuses on bringing awareness and building strength to the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles. The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, and like every other muscle in our body, it needs both exercise and relaxation in order to be most effective. Due to age, pregnancy, illness, or other factors, these muscles can become weak and not function properly. In this session, we will practice yogic breathwork and coordinate breath and movement in our yoga asanas. This will aid in strengthening as well as releasing the pelvic floor muscles, both are essential in pelvic floor health. We will end with progressive muscle relaxation flowing into a guided meditation to fully support the body and mind integration of this practice.
